For 4 years, Advisory Boards of Children (ABCs) have played substantive roles in assessing wellbeing of children in care. ABCs act as a partner of the district Social Assistance and Family Protection Directorate. Each of the 10 ABCs has about 20 members. ABCs identified gaps in service provision, reviewed services, identified need for creation of new services, making sure that the opinion of children-beneficiaries is heard. One ABC has also been was established at national level.
