YouthPower Learning at InterAction Forum 2019
When: Wednesday, June 12, 2019
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDT
About the Panel Session:
Many organizations have developed learning agendas recognizing their potential to enhance impact, identify evidence gaps, and guide strategic investment. However, without better coordination among donors, implementers, and academics, we risk collecting the same evidence, not enough evidence, or irrelevant evidence, while wasting limited resources.
YouthPower Learning, with funding from the US Agency for International Development (USAID), developed a common global learning agenda with collective guidance to strengthen Positive Youth Development (PYD) in low and middle-income countries. This agenda aims to stimulate both learning and action to build the evidence base about how, when, where and for whom PYD works.
YouthPower Learning will discuss the key gaps, lessons learned and entry points for cross-collaboration that can guide future research. World Vision US and FHI 360 will then present why they opted to contribute to this global PYD learning agenda rather than create their own, and how this is shaping their work.
