From Model to Movement: Standing by Girls as They Take the Lead

Join CARE on International Day of the Girl (October 11) as they explore how an adolescent empowerment model is bringing girls’ voices to locally-led movements for change.

Date: Wednesday 11 October 2023

Time: 11:00-12:30 ET / 16:00-17:30 WAT

During this event you will hear how Tipping Point’s girl-led action model is having an impact in many countries, including in emergencies, the ways this can inject girls’ rights into any program, and how they as an INGO are shifting their role to be an ally and connector for the girls who are setting the agenda. Speakers include their partner WOREC Nepal, movement leaders and mentors in West Africa, a youth advocate from Bangladesh, and CARE's program lead who supported expansion of the model to North-West Syria.

Interpretation will be available in French, Spanish, and Arabic.
