This event will be held on August 16, 2018 at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Youth need safe spaces where they can come together, engage in activities related to their diverse needs and interests, participate in decision making processes and freely express themselves. This is an interactive session with young people age 18-35 (about to graduate students) from tertiary institutions to inspire more and better-prepared workers. It is expected that 90% of the participants will join the labour force in less than two/three years. Therefore, with this safe space event, we hope to share interconnected set of solutions to meet future employment needs - prepare youth with needed skills, emphasizing the value of workplace learning and motivation.
