About the Event

Join us on Thursday, June 29th, 2023, 9:00 am-10:00 am (EST) as we delve into the dynamic world of youth entrepreneurship, focusing on the interactions between young entrepreneurs and government institutions. We will be joined by:

  • Speakers who will share their personal journeys, shedding light on the hurdles they encountered and the innovative solutions they employed to overcome them

The following topics will be covered during the webinar:

  • Challenges and opportunities faced by young entrepreneurs in Uganda, including limited access to finance, bureaucratic hurdles, market entry barriers, and existing government programs and initiatives supporting youth entrepreneurs
  • Unique opportunities fueled by technological advancements and sector growth
  • Effective strategies for navigating and engaging with government institutions including how to leverage policies and programs to create an enabling environment for youth entrepreneurs
  • Importance of sustainable business practices, showcasing real-world examples and how sustainability contributes to long-term success and positive impact, and
  • Skills development and support for young entrepreneurs including the role of training, mentorship, and networking opportunities
