Summary

Young people are recruited and convened to form a council or committee which provides guidance to a team, organization, or body such as a municipal council based on a designated scope. Scope can range from a specific project or activity to an entire organization, community, or municipality. The council may play a number of roles, such as project decision-making, developing and implementing a learning agenda, and planning and executing events or community service projects.
