In my community, due to Gas Flaring and other activities, the environment is heavily polluted. Soot can be seen in rain water that have percolated. There is an increase in carbon emission. I embarked on a save the Earth campaign with my students in other to sensitise the society of the need for a greener earth. We embarked on a “Plant A Tree Challenge”. We planted trees in the school compound in order to help sock up carbon for the atmosphere. The students were very excited about this project because it created in them a sense of what that they can actually do something to save the Earth. This project help us win a state award from the National Youth Service Corps.
