Skills for Job
The Youth Entrepreneurship Skills Project is one of the Safeplan Uganda initiative of supporting the youths with skills for livelihood, this project is in line with government plan of skilling all Ugandan youths and proudly supported by Belgium government government of Uganda and partners.
On the photo the youths display finished detergent they have made after five days training held at Safepla Uganda offices in Masindi.
On the photo, right to left are Aisha Nakamya, Akello Stella Naume and Birungi Janet enjoy how they will earn from the newly acquired skills in detergent and bar soap making. The youths are particularly happy because they have been unemployed, however with the skills acquired they can make liquid soap in their backyard and support their families.
The trainees aspiration are Aisha wants to become a youth Councillor 2021, Stella a mother of two aged 25 years wants to be leading supplier of liquid soap in Masindi and support her two kids the boy friend abandoned to her and Janet wants to add soap making skills to her bachelors degree in public management since she has failed to get a job after 5 years after graduation, she will be making her liquid soap as a source of earning to support her family.
