Design Thinking Training: Human-Centered Design as a Mindset Session Presentation by Global Knowledge Initiative
Session Details
Do you want to learn how to apply human-centered design (HCD) to your work? This micro-training will introduce the concept of HCD, a critical mindset that can support the production of innovative, stakeholder-driven solutions. This interactive training, specifically targeted for youth practitioners in development, will cover the foundations of HCD, including how to embody empathy in the design process, take a systemic perspective, and an overview of the three phases in HCD - inspiration, ideation, and implementation. Join the Global Knowledge Initiative and learn how HCD can support you to be a more empathetic designer.
Attendees will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the mindset of HCD, integrate empathy and other essential leadership skills into problem-solving and solution design, and locate and use HCD tools to inform working approaches.
