A Girl's Eye View: A Literature Review on Girl Engagement
If engaged meaningfully, young people can have a great effect on the design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of the programs and policies intended to serve them. Young people have first-hand knowledge of the environments, contexts, and factors that define and affect their behavior. Adolescent girls, more specifically, can provide compelling evidence of and insight into critical issues that shape their daily lives and the obstacles they face in realizing their potential. Furthermore, girls offer diverse perspectives that are key to implementing effective and sustainable programs.
