Youth Engagement Community of Practice Meeting
The YouthPower Learning Youth Engagement Community of Practice hosted a virtual and in-person meeting at Banyan Global on May 23, 2017, from 9:30 - 11:00 am ET.

This meeting served as an opportunity for CoP members to connect in person and discuss CoP priorities moving forward. Also, there were three presentations:
- The youth-led Youth Forum Organization in Sudan talked about their work, in collaboration with the government, to develop a new youth policy for the country.
- Louis Alexander, Principal Associate for Youth Practice, and David Morgan, Senior Program Coordinator, from Banyan Global discussed their USAID-funded YouthPower project Empleando Futuros in Honduras.
- Christy Olenik, Youth Engagement CoP Co-Champion, presented over 50 youth engagement specific measurement indicators identified through a brief literature review, and lead a discussion with CoP members. Discussion points will be included in a technical brief to be developed by the CoP's indicators workgroup.

About the Youth Engagement Community of Practice:
YouthPower Learning's Youth Engagement Community of Practice aims to:
- Contribute and disseminate a shared definition of ‘meaningful youth engagement’ for YouthPower and the broader community of practice.
- Support the development of youth engagement measurement indicators for YouthPower and the broader community of practice.
- Create a space for the sharing of youth engagement experiences and group problem-solving.
- Develop a clearinghouse of evidence, resources, and tools on youth engagement hosted on youthpower.org.
- Bring the youth voice into YouthPower activities.
