A Statistical Analysis of Child Marriage in India, Based on Census 2011
This report has analysed the Census 2011 data of India to identify the'hot spots' related to child marriage by desegregating the data for girls and boys by location (rural and age groups).
A list of seventy districts that account for14% percent of the population under the legal age of marriage and 2l % of child marriages in the country have been identified, with an aim to promote contextually appropriate acton at the state and district level.
