4. Opportunities and Barriers

Assess the current opportunities for and barriers to youth engagement in program design.
Estimated time to complete: 2 hours 25 minutes
This will cover:
a.    Creating an ‘enabling environment’ for young people
b.    Addressing barriers and their effects on youth engagement
c.    Overcoming these barriers and embracing the opportunities
d.    Conducting a  mapping of youth engagement barriers and opportunities

MÓDULO QUATRO: OPORTUNIDADES E BARREIRAS

O objectivo deste módulo é dar aos participantes a informação e as ferramentas para que possam avaliar as actuais oportunidades e barreiras ao engajamento juvenil na concepção, implementação e monitorização do programa.

Até ao final deste módulo, os participantes devem ser capazes de:

  • Definir e descrever um 'ambiente propício' para o engajamento juvenil em Moçambique.
  • Identificar as barreiras nacionais e específicas da organização que os jovens possam enfrentar, o que limita a sua participação no desenvolvimento.
  • Compreender as barreiras invisíveis para o engajamento juvenil em Moçambique e como lidar com elas.
  • Compreender como criar espaços amigos dos jovens, tanto num contexto 'convidado' como num contexto 'criado'. 
  • Compreender as barreiras que possam existir no trabalho da sua organização.
