How I want to make an Impact

I have been working on youth Programming and activities for more that 5 years now, I do believe their is an important role of me to play on bringing positive impact among young people in Tanzania and Africa. Since my high school i have been volunteering on my par time to serve the community , advocating for youth agendas and serving on Youth Organization. Been an activist is not about my self but is about people around me and who need my voice to raise the voice. I look forward to join this since its part of my professional development , passionate about and i want to be the change and help other young people towards reaching their success through mentor-ship.

Short Biography
Mr. Arafat have over seven years of experience in youth development programs nationally, regional and Internationally focusing on education, health, environment, and civic engagement. He has worked to empower young people on leadership, diplomacy, career guidance and life skills and supporting their personal and professional growth. He is passionate about youth engagement, ensuring young men and women including youth with disability are meaningfully engaged in social, economic and political development. He has received additional training on Good Governance, Social Audit, Project Management and resource mobilization, Gender and Women’s rights at Ms-TCDC University and recently 2019 has received training on Disability awareness and Disability Inclusive programming from Light for the World Netherlands and Tanzania Federation of Disabled people organization SHIVYAWATA, and Trained as Life Skills Coach under International Youth Foundation. He has experience on managing, providing technical support on youth livelihood programs funded by Mastercard Foundation, Irish Aid and United Nations Tanzania. Furthermore, he has been among the Young Visionary Leaders Award Finalist in Young African Leaders Awards 2019 that was held in Gambia and trained as global SDG master champion by United Nations Resident Coordinator Tanzania. He has recently also been an Ambassador for YouthLead platform in Tanzania, a program under USAID and Making Cent international.
