My name once again is Somtochukwu Ugwu. I am a lawyer by profession and I am currently serving as the gender head and partnerships officer at Society for the Improvement of Rural People (SIRP), an NGO based here in Nigeria that is committed to providing voice and services to the less privileged and vulnerable segments of the society. I am also the founder of Unskilled to Skilled (U2S) which caters for every unskilled and unemployed youth in Nigeria. I am so much passionate about promoting women and youth empowerment.
I am a young changemaker because I have simply refused to accept the status quo and the various limitations hindering the growth of various women and girls. Although, these issues are so numerous to mention, but I am one youth that is ever so committed to think up various innovative ideas to tackle it.
I want to join Youth Led for basically three reasons.
1. To learn under the various Mentors, who I will be opportune to have.
2. To connect with other young changemakers all around the World. I believe so much in Networks.
3. To share my experiences and knowledge with those who might not be opportune to be a member of YouthLed.
