I am a Self-motivated youth leader, youth trainer and educator, public speaker and Clinical Officer with special competencies in managing digital media for reproductive health promotion. Proven experience in managing online project know as “Contraceptive conversation” I have four years’ experience of Voluntary Working with the Clinical Officers Training College Sexual Health Club – a student-led organisation within the Mtwara Clinical officers training college in Mtwara Tanzania. The club has more than 10 years’ experience providing sexual and reproductive health education to more than 2000 young people each year, by conducting outreach sessions, reaching the young people in their schools, colleges and in community organizations to raise awareness to the sexual health topics such as HIV/AIDS, contraception and abortion. I have worked with the clinical officer’s sexual health club in running an online program (Contraceptive conversations) that allows the young people that we teach to ask questions anonymously via a mobile phone number and get a rapid response to their questions on contraception. We post the anonymised questions and answers on our Facebook page to share the learning more widely. by conducting just one session with the students in schools we thought it’s not enough and through a hybrid of the online and offline contraceptive education works well, as the page receives number of questions every day, and has more than 500 followers without any promotion. Three month’ experience volunteering with the Voluntary service oversea Organization as an International Citizen Service volunteer, where by Voluntary service oversea (VSO) is an international organization bringing together volunteers from different parts of the word to fight against poverty in poor communities around the world, I was working in a project called “Enhancing Employability and vocational training” where we taught young students from college and secondary schools in Lindi Region Tanzania the soft employability skills such as CV writing and Interview skills, we organized community awareness programmes such as Community action days, forums and active citizenship days, working to raise awareness on global issues specifically sustainable development goals. Being a youth led member is an opportunity for me to learn new skills that will help to amplify the impact of work i am doing in the community, and this is a great opportunity share to other young people experiences and skills plus capacity building on how to solve problems facing their communities.
